Who operates this website

Suthakaran NM operates suthakaran.net, a personal professional website and journal. This notice covers this website and its private content-management system. The separate NSoft Technologies, NSoft Academy and ACET websites have their own policies.

Information we collect

When you send an enquiry, we receive your name, email address, selected topic and message. Authorised CMS users also provide account and profile information. Security and hosting systems may process IP addresses, browser details, request times and access logs. Please do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information through the contact form.

Why we use it

We use enquiry details to consider and respond to your request, account information to manage authorised access, and technical information to deliver and protect the website. Where data-protection law requires a lawful basis, we rely on legitimate interests in handling enquiries and maintaining a secure service, steps you request before a contract where relevant, and legal obligations where applicable. Optional tracking would require a separate consent choice; none is currently enabled.

We do not sell enquiry information, add you to a mailing list through this form, or use it for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Who can access information

Author attribution and profile information can appear with published articles. Private account information and unpublished drafts are not made public.

Enquiries are accessible to authorised CMS managers. Hetzner provides hosting, and Cloudflare supports delivery and security. These providers process information needed to provide those services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.

Hosting and security infrastructure may process information outside your country. Cross-border processing is subject to the protections required by applicable law and the relevant providers’ arrangements. See Hetzner’s privacy information and Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Cookies and browser storage

The site uses essential CMS session cookies and a local browser record of your cookie preference. Cloudflare may set security cookies depending on its active protections. No advertising or analytics scripts are currently used. Our cookie policy explains their purpose, duration and controls.

Retention and security

Enquiries currently remain in the CMS until the site owner removes or anonymises them manually; there is no automatic enquiry expiry. Retention decisions take account of ongoing correspondence, legal obligations and disputes. Closing an enquiry does not delete its information. Requests for deletion are handled manually using the contact details below. CMS records and security logs support administration, security and troubleshooting and are reviewed according to those purposes.

Access is restricted and data is transmitted over HTTPS. Routine local database backup copies are retained for 14 days. Deleted information may remain in a backup until that copy expires; if a backup is restored, applicable deletion requests must be reapplied. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information you supplied. Depending on the law that applies and our reason for processing, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, receive portable data or withdraw consent. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. You may raise a concern with the data-protection regulator responsible for your location; where UK data-protection law applies, this includes the Information Commissioner’s Office.
